Candace Greer-Jefferson

I am the media specialist, librarian and reading enrichment teacher at Derby Middle School in the Library. I grew up in Michigan and received my Bachelor's of Science and Master’s degrees from University of Detroit Mercy and Wayne State University, respectively. Three unique areas of my Library are: A Makerspace area, a Healing Library area, and a Seed Library area.

With a background in Engineering, I have added opportunities for students to explore and create STEAM projects by adding a STEAM club, and explore programmable devices and basic computer programming by adding a Coders club. The goal in the Derby library is to provide many unique opportunities and areas for the students to explore and enjoy, along with a variety of reading sources and books.
